The fish have swum into port! Michael's been away from performing for months while he's worked on a funny, downright outrageous addition to his show. Imagine ten of those hilarious Billy Bass mechanical fish dancing and singing backup on Michael's original songs! It's like The Supremes meet Mrs. Paul. You'll never forget it as long as you live... but the nightmares will go away eventually. We promise.
Michael debuted his Fishboy act at an audition for The Oxygen Network's Meow TV, a show "for cats and their owners." The audition was a smashing success, and Fishboy reeled himself in as a finalist, winning the L.A. competition. He and his fish even made the KABC-7 Los Angeles local news the next day, and without handcuffs or a straitjacket! Alas, the national competition was won by a really cute two-year-old who got up and mumbled... something. That's show biz for ya!
The January 4th show at Genghis Cohen was a smash! Turnout was great, with lots of new faces, and CDs were snapped up. Thanks to all who came. The after-show buzz was, "Michael's best show yet!"
